The number 1 MMA event in Canada & one of the top MMA shows in the World Live only on AXS TV
Strong leadership is a cornerstone for the success of the Maximum Fighting Championship and it is provided by the MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich.
Mark is not just a business owner, but a true pioneer in the world of mixed martial arts as one of the very few men in senior management of an MMA organization who has actually trained in the sport and then put all of his education and expertise into a full-time concentrated effort into building the MFC to where it is today and where it will go in the future.
In addition to the day-to-day operations of the MFC, Mark works tirelessly in the areas of corporate sponsorship and fighter contracts. Where it takes most professional sports organizations dozens of employees to achieve its goals, the MFC conquers its tasks with minimal staff all focused on the company’s success. An unmatched work ethic and unbridled passion for the sport is the difference between the MFC and other mixed martial arts organizations. The MFC is essentially a family-run organization with Manon Pavelich Vice President , Dave Pavelich marketing & production Scott Zerr Media & Fighter relations & Mike Bridges Event set up.
The Maximum Fighting Championships 2014
Through dedication, determination, and an unquenchable desire to succeed, the Maximum Fighting Championship has become one of the largest mixed martial arts promotions in all of North America.
The MFC has made incredible strides recently including the biggest announcement in company history – the signing of multi-fight broadcast deals with AXS TV, the American cable giant headed up by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban & Media mogul Ryan Seacrest. The partnership provided fans of the MFC across the United States, the opportunity to watch the shows live on AXSTVFights.
Following that announcement, the MFC added another broadcast partner with the Fight Network, one of the premier combat sports cable networks in the world. Fans are now able to see previously unaired MFC productions as well as all fight cards from 2002-to present time following their run on AXS TV.
Most impressively, the Maximum Fighting Championship has maintained a record for sold-out shows that stretches more than two years. Shows are now selling out at an incredible rate, often more than month prior to fight night. It is a testament to the popularity of the MFC’s talented fighters and to the electric atmosphere in the building every time the MFC puts on a show. The MFC has launched itself to the forefront of organizations and the attention from mainstream media has never been greater.
The MFC’s exclusive home in Canada is Shaw Conference Centre , located downtown in the “City of Champions” Edmonton, Alberta.
The MFC has welcomed some of the very best fighters from around the world into its ring such as some of the most high-profile originators, Ben Henderson, Thales Leites, Pat Healy, Yves Edwards, Jason MacDonald, Paul Daley, Patrick “The Predator” Cote, Pete Spratt, Douglas Lima, Ryan Jimmo, Emanuel Newton and John Alessio just to name a few. Now the next wave of mixed martial arts stars are immerging particularly the MFC’s proud champions Heavyweight Anthony Hamilton, Middleweight Sam Alvey, Lightweight Graham Spencer, Bantamweight Anthony Birchak.
The Maximum Fighting Championship is a labor of love for our staff – all of whom put in countless hours so they can bring the best show possible to our fans and corporate sponsors. While other organizations need a staff of dozens to pull off a minor show, the MFC has just a core group of key people that step up every time to deliver our events. We understand what the fans want for their entertainment dollar and aim to surpass their expectations each time.
The MFC has not forgotten its humble roots which has made everyone associated with the organization committed to supporting those less fortunate. The MFC has organized events to feed the homeless, made donations to several charities, and hosted several celebrity poker tournaments which have raised thousands of dollars for children’s charities. Our fighters and staff have been joined by our biggest corporate sponsors and athletes from other sports at many of these events to make them all truly special.
The Maximum Fighting Championship’s events and fighters have never received more exposure than now and the spotlight will only get brighter in the future. With efforts to constantly improve and the willingness to think “outside the box” the MFC will continue to flourish and shine.
