The Misfortune of Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland Cavaliers is a NBA team which is located in Cleveland, Ohio, joined the NBA in 1970. The Cleveland Cavaliers is one of the most unlucky team in the NBA teams. Although in the NBA for over 30 years, there are stars shining in the team from time to time, but only in the 2006-2007 season, it headed to the Finals relying on the personal ability of LeBron James. Cavaliers began the arduous journey in the NBA with 15 wins but 67 debut of negative bad record. After four years, it ranked consistently in the Central Division cellar in the Cavs regular season. Although there are many players were picked into all-star, but it did not bring any improvement to the team.

In 1976, the 34-year-old veteran Nate Thurmond came back to the Cavaliers, he together with Austin Carr and Bobby Smith, led the team to record in first place in the central Division with 49 wins and 33 losses and reached the exciting playoffs. Everyone thought that it was a piece of good news, but life is full of uncertainty, the team was auctioned twice later, frequently changing of coach and players, which let Cleveland Cavaliers to begin a seven-year silence.

In 1985, the coach George Karl led the team to return to the playoffs, but it was beat by defending champion Celtics in the first round. Then, the famous coach Lenny Wilkens arrived, after his tune, the Cavaliers gradually restored confidence Knights and began a new life. Unfortunately, although they often reached the playoffs, they could not go beyond Michael Jordan and his Bulls. After that, the Cavaliers had not been known from 1985 to 2002, and also it left hiatus in people’s impression for 44years.

In the 2007-2008 season, after beating the Wizards, the Cavaliers went into the semi-finals with the fourth score in eastern section, facing the Celtics, the Cavaliers worked hard for 7 games, finally it was defeated.

In the 2009-2010 season, the Cavaliers signed the “big sharks” as James grief inside. In the mid-season, the coming of Jamison Wizards reinforced the inside of the Cavaliers again. But in the playoffs, after out of the Bulls with 4 to 1, James’s right elbow ligament tore, he used pain-pin to adhere, but the Cavaliers lost to the Celtics with 2 to 4 in the final, it was eliminated again in the playoffs. Even more unfortunately, on July 9, 2010, James announced to join the Miami Heat. The future of the Cavaliers faces the challenge again, But the loyal fans of the Cavaliers will not give up it, they will continue to support their favorite team and players.
