After a great vicotry against Wizards, the Boston Celtics have put themsleves in a phenomenal position to hold onto the two seed, while giving the Cavaliers some competition for that one seed. Home court advanatge is always the priority, and the Celtics can only focus on what they are doing as a team. That being said, there are a lot of diffierent potential first round matchups, and their seeding will have an impact much bigger than just home court.

While the Celtics will be confident in their ability to take down any of the potential first round matchups, they certainly have their preferences. None of these teams have been consistently good, but some are clearly hotter than others, while some may also have matchups that the Celtics are a lot more comfortable with.

It is difficult to just look at season series and determine which the best matchup is, just with that. There are a ot of different circumstances around matchups in the seasons, and it could be problematic if the Celtics are expecting to see the same team they last played in the regular season.

The same goes for the Celtics, who have seen multiple key players get hurt this season. Avery Bradley has proven that he changes what this team is capable of on defense, and that could have a huge impact on which of the matchups they want the most.

The list will be going from the matchup the Celtics want the least to their ideal matchup for the first round of the playoffs. Keep in mind, the Hawks are not included because they appear to have a strong hold on a top five seed, and the Hornets have too many teams ahead of them to be a concern right now.
