Jamal Crawford played hero for the Phoenix Suns on Saturday as
they upset the Milwaukee Bucks on the road, 116-114.

With 12 seconds on the clock, the Suns tried to work up an
inbounds play for their young superstar Devin Booker, who had 29
points on the night. When the Bucks took the Suns’ No. 1 option
away, Crawford was called upon to step up to the occasion.

At 38-years-old, one of the league’s best one-on-one players in
recent history made the most of his opportunity.

Leaving 0.8 seconds on the clock, the Bucks had a slim chance to
match that shot to win the game. Khris Middleton got it to go, only
it was just after the buzzer:

Crawford had 11 points on 13 shots, three rebounds and two
assists in 24 minutes off the bench.

While the Suns led by as much as 12 points with four minutes
remaining in the third quarter, the Bucks finished the quarter on
an 11-0 run to make it a one-point game going into the fourth.
Milwaukee held a 114-108 lead with 3:26 left in the game, but a
Trevor Ariza three and a TJ Warren and-1 tied the game, leading to
Crawford’s game-winner.

Malcolm Brogdon scored 13 points on 4-for-4 shooting in the
final frame to try and will the Bucks to victory, but their effort
came up just short – a tenth of a second short actually.

After the game, Booker took to Twitter to tell everyone Crawford
knew exactly how that game was going to end:

The Bucks fall to 13-5, second in the Eastern Conference, while
the Suns pick up their fourth win of the season at 4-14.
